Common Agriculture Policy Reform after 2013

Knowing the enormous importance of Macedonian rural development, ALKA made substantial communication and effort the “2010 International PREPARE Gathering” to be hosted by Macedonia. ALKA took role of a partner and organizer of the event’s activities.
PREPARE Gathering, aims to strengthen civil society and promote transnational cooperation in rural development in new EU member states, candidate and accession countries and those preparing for EU accession in the area of South-East Europe. It is opportunity to meet, contact and share views on current challenges of rural development in Europe, to stimulate exchange between rural actors from different parts of the continent and strengthen the voice of civil sector in the multi-sector dialogue on issues of rural development. This 2010 PREPARE Gathering can create a base and add value to existing practices applied for rural development in Macedonia.ALKA deem necessary that all stakeholders and beneficiaries active in rural development need to take active participation in order to gain insight of worth, proven and useful practices for future development.

12.10.2009 European Rural Sustainability Gathering, Göhrde, Germany

Representatives from the Center for Sustainable Development “Alka” have participated on the first European Rural Sustainability Gathering, taking place in Göhrde Hunting Castle in Wendland region (district of Lüchow-Danenberg), Northern Germany, from 8 to 11 October 2009.
This three-day meeting organized by Forum Synergies (European Network for Sustainable Development) was an excellent opportunity for ALKA’s representatives to meet people with a spirit of action for sustainable rural development from across Europe, and to visit and discover good examples of local sustainable development in one of Germany’s most remarkable rural districts.
